Help Import Flashcard Sets from Shared Directory |
This screen allows you to search for specific types of flashcard sets that other users have shared and import them into your flashcards database. It will also move any required sound files and image files into your sounds and images directories.
: Sort in ascending order (from a to z or 1 to 9).
: Sort in descending order (from z to a or 9 to 1).
Set Name: Enter either the entire set name or a portion of the set name and all flashcard sets containing those characters in the set name will be displayed.
Description: Enter a keywords separated by a comma and all flashcard sets containing any of the keywords in the set description will be displayed.
Category: Select one category or multiple categories to search for. To Select multiple categories, hold down the shift key to select a range of categories or hold down the control key to select each category.
Age Level: Select one age level or multiple age levels to search for. To Select multiple age levels, hold down the shift key to select a range of age levels or hold down the control key to select each age level.
Set Type: Select one set type or multiple set types to search for. To Select multiple set types, hold down the shift key to select a range of set types or hold down the control key to select each set type.
Sort By: Choose how you want to sort your search results.
Then By: If you wish to sort your sorted results, choose how you want to sub sort. For example, you could select all flashcard sets and sort them by age level and for each age level have them sorted by category.
Search: Press this button to start the search.
(Import Checkbox): Once your search results are displayed, check the Import box of all the flashcard sets you want to import.
(Buy Checkbox): Checkboxes with a blue background are for sale by the user who created them (which can be found in the From User field) and the sale price is posted next to the checkbox. If you wish to purchase a flashcard set:
Import: Press this button and all checked import and buy flashcard sets will be imported into your database. If the category of the flashcard set in not in your category list in your Options screen, it will automatically be added to the list. You will be able to edit the imported flashcard set(s) the same way you would edit those you create. If a flashcard set with the same name already exists in your database, the flashcard set will be renamed to setname_x where setname is the name of the flashcard set and x is a number. If a sound file or image file with the same name already exists in your sounds or images directory, the file will be renamed to name_x where name is the name of the file and x is a number. A message will be displayed telling you which files were renamed, their new name, and the flashcard set they belong to. You will need to edit the flashcard set(s) and change the file name(s) accordingly.
Delete: If you are the member that exported the flashcard set, you will see a delete button after the end of the description. (In this example there was no description entered) By pressing this button, you will delete the flashcard set from the shared directory. Contents | Previous | Next |
